Here’s something I did today with some of my new polishes from Sinful Colors. It’s amazing what you can do with a dotting tool. The base color is Soul Mate by Sinful Colors. The dots are composed of two other Sinful Colors polishes, Oasis and Cream Pink. The last silver color I used for dotting is called Pewter by Love & Beauty.

I took advantage of the 99 cent sale at Walgreens to pick up a bunch of Sinful Color nail polish. The sale is still going on right now, hurry! :)

I’m finally back on my blog! What have I been doing? Hitting pan on my first eyeshadow. Woo! This NYX eyeshadow in Taupe is what I’ve been using as a base/blending color on my eyes. Quite an accomplishment in my opinion - ha! - because eyeshadows take darn long to finish! Other than that, I was busy with school, graduation, and moving.
I once overheard a girl at CVS saying she had to buy more eyeshadow because she finished all of them. She deserves an award. Maybe a “project pan” award, lol.

I thought I should share my latest empties!
The Blistex lip ointment was a life saver during the winter season for me. I had a large itchy spot on my lip that would peel and flake because it was so dry. I definitely put that ointment into good use.
I was curious about this Aveeno moisturizer when I saw it at opinionnothing. This is a lightweight moisturizer that does not leave greasy residue behind. Perfect for hot days when you don’t want to feel sticky after applying lotion!
This is my second pan of Stay Matte. I love the product, but hate the packaging. The cap is so flimsy, you definitely can’t just throw this in your bag without worrying about it.

I was totally under the influence by glossandgab, so I bought this moisturizer while it was on sale at CVS. After using this for a couple of weeks already, I can say that I pretty much enjoy it. I generally use this at night, and I like this because it doesn’t give a greasy residue after application. Because I have oily skin, this works for me. I’d be hesitant to try this out if I have dry skin, as it might not be as moisturizing for that type of need. But nevertheless I really like it and it smells great! To me it smells like cucumbers, similar to the smell of this mask.

I just washed most of my makeup brushes and decided to post about my favorite ones. Most of my brushes come from either Sonia Kashuk, EcoTools, and Everyday Minerals. The brushes I have from them are, from my experience, good quality, soft brushes for their price. My favorites from this bunch would have to be the Sonia Kashuk bent eyeliner brush, the Everyday Minerals flat top brush, the Everyday Minerals long handled kabuki, and honestly, all of my Ecotools brushes! (I have the angled eyeliner EcoTools brush and the set of brushes that came from this kit). If you’re beginning in makeup and looking for brushes, I definitely recommend brushes from these brands. They can all usually be found at Target, and the Everyday Minerals brushes from their site.
I also have two ELF brushes, two very old Estee Lauder brushes, one Urban Decay brush, and one MAC brush. I definitely have Real Techniques on my want list.. and the MAC 217 brush. After that I think I’ll be complete ;).
